237 - I’m Sorry

I'm sorry for my absence

We've had a big-old crisis

But you don't have to worry

It's not Al-Qaeda or ISIS

This is a personal thing

My wife's been very ill

I've had things on my mind

As she's still in Hospital

On the 16th of December

The poems had to stop

Life threw us a curve-ball

We were all caught on the hop

But I'm learning how to cope

Because life is full of change

I've had my house spruced up

Everything's been rearranged

We don't know what will happen

The fault is in her chromosome

But I have to hold out hope

That one day she will come home
