151 - Chris Part Two
There was a mountain house
Covered in blue sparkly snow
And at the time of triple midnight
The air began to glow
Chris the kindly monster
Stared up at the sight
His glistening spines did shiver
In the freezing hot cold night
He slinked off to a valley bar
It was time to drown his sorrows
Maybe he’d get his benefits
In the post tomorrow
The pub’ was not too busy
Just the usual regular guys
There was Martin over there
With his three hundred eyes
And sat over in the corner
Was Trevor the friendly goat
He’d fallen on hard times
Ever since he ate his own fishing boat
Chris only ordered half a pint
He didn’t have much money
But the bartender gave him a free smile
He didn’t think it was funny
Everyone has their rough times
Even well-known monsters
And Chris was no exception
He just needed a good sponsor
And so he sat there quietly
Until the sun began to rise
When you’re in good company
It’s amazing how time flies
