042 - Utter Shite, Apparently :-)

There was this poet the other night

Me! I got told my writings were utter shite

But I’m going to carry on despite

All those people who think they’re right

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of fun

Even if it doesn’t please everyone

Hate, disinterest, when all’s said and done

It’s nice to generate any kind of emotion

So feel free to carry on with the abuse

I’m not gonna stick my head in a noose

I’m gonna scribble, write and produce

More poems for you all - ‘cos I like to amuse

I’m the World’s Bestest Poet - a lyrical bard

I’ll take what you throw at me - it’s not that hard

I’m not after praise, prizes or award

Any foul comments I’ll just disregard
