041 - Pigeons
We should be like the pigeon
And have no religion
It would be quite a twist
If we all turned anti-theist
Although we can’t be sure
If birds are really pure
Maybe they do have a god
And it’s all one big facade
Perhaps they silently worship
Some kind of holy script
And all day they peck
To avoid going to heck
Do they write their sacred book
In poo - have we all mistook
Their guano for atheism
When it’s actually evangelism?
Or am I reading too much
Into this - perhaps I’m out of touch?
I’ll still be wary of the birds
And their smelly potentially holy words
