154 - Joy

It is the moment before dawn

Then explodes the light

The world expressed anew

But fuck me, it’s way too bright

The birds begin their song

Screaming out their joys

It is a brand new day

Just stop the fucking noise

The flowers slowly open

To release their radiant smell

The air is full of happiness

I’ve got Hayfever - oh bloody hell

The sun banishes the cold

From this blessed plot

The Earth bathes in warmth

Now I’m too fucking hot

And as a gentle breeze

Drifts over from the sea

The salty air does mingle

But all I can taste is wee

Every day is like this

Filled with joyous display

And whilst most people are happy

I wish it would just go away
