076 - Rhyme (Singular)
I think it might be the end time
I cannot make this poem rhyme
It’s really quite a paradigm
Unless that word’s become a crime
I could change career - go maritime
Life on a ship would be sublime
My imagination could run overtime
The crew might stage a pantomime!
Maybe I should become a mime
Might be a good job in the summertime
It’d be better than working in the grime
And then I could drink lemonade and lime
I could explore - maybe go climb
Trouble is, I’m past my prime
The equipment would cost a pretty dime
Especially in the winter time
I guess I’ll go back, become slime
I could turn into mesenchyme
Maybe add some lysozyme
And be a poet on flexitime
