The tactics of modern politics

Can often seem a little intense

When the originality of the personality

Often displaces common sense

When pithy quotes can win more votes

Despite there being no direction

Fools who blunder make you wonder

How the hell they won the election

If a party less than hearty

Is the flavour of the hour

Then it’s time to just watch the pantomime

And hope they don’t stay too long in power
