020 - Book
I bought a book on types of prose
I thought I’d try to learn
How to write a poem properly
Some more cash I’d love to earn
Because I love to fill my house
With merchandise and toys
From my favourite sci-fi shows and films
My wife it sure annoys
She says that I’m a marketer’s dream
That I’ll buy any old stuff
She might be right, she usually is
Living with me is tough
I buy LEGO sets and action figs
Graphic novels and clothes
Scarves and things and uniforms
Who doesn’t love some of those?
I must have it all, though we’ve no space
We’re running out of room
It’s hard to keep it all in one safe place
I’ve got this sense of impending doom
Anyway the problem is, I’ve now lost the book
The one on better writing
I wonder if it’s under that pile of comics?
Yeah, that’s probably where it’s hiding
