009 - Lockdown

I know this might make some people frown

But I really miss the COVID lockdown

The streets were quiet

The roads were free

And I never had to go into town

Everyone was stuck at home

No-one was allowed to roam

It was great

It was nice

Because everyone left me alone

If I went out for a walk

I wouldn’t feel like such a dork

I’d turn around

And walk away

Because I had an excuse not to talk

Now everything is back to “normal”

And everyone is so informal

The traffic’s mental

Too many people

We’ve all returned to being feral
